Morgan is a biologist for Covington Civil and Environmental, LLC. She is a recent graduate of Texas A&M University, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology and a master’s degree in Urban Planning. As a student, she was a graduate assistant researcher for the Center for Texas Beaches and Shores and the Hazard Reduction and Recovery Center. Her research at Texas A&M focused on flood risk reduction, structural and non-structural wave based flood mitigation techniques, and continuing the maintenance of the Galveston Bay Status and Trends databases. She has also studied with the Southeast Environmental Research Center at Florida International University integrating hydrology, plant ecology and biogeochemistry to understand ecosystem-level structure, process and change in the Florida Everglades.
Morgan has experience with project management, spatial analysis, community engagement, and comprehensive plan development.
